After all the baddies are killed (one of them being the father of Ayesha Takia, the college-mate of Vatsal and his love-interest), Ajay's soul comes before his son and blesses him. After the car becomes new afresh and starts treading the roads, Ajay's soul gets into it, turning it into a wonder car (named as Tarzan) which is all set to inflict revenge upon his killers. He buys the scrap and renovates the car with a lot of toil and dedication, of course, with the help of the benevolent and kind-hearted Amrish Puri. One day he sees the car designed by his father in scrap condition. His son Vatsal Seth grows up with the hardships of life and becomes a mechanic in the garage of Amrish Puri while carrying on with his education simultaneously. Talented car designer, Ajay Devgan is murdered by some evil businessmen who drown him alongwith the car designed by him.

The hero of this movie is virtually a car. And quite naturally, it contains a number of special effects too. However this is the only movie made by them which has a supernatural tinge. They make Hollywood style thrillers by borrowing the plots from the Hollywood itself. Abbas-Mustan have tried to be the Alfred Hitchcock of Hindi cinema over the past two decades. This is a movie enjoyable not only by the kids but the grown-ups also. This is a movie which I could not see in the theatre which I will always regret because the special effects are a treat to watch on the big screen. I have watched it a number of times and my children are also sailing in the same boat. Sunday I watched Tarzon - The Wonder Car once again with my children.

After he accomplishes both tasks, his soul is free and he moves on. The climax of the movie is where you learn that Devesh's spirit controls the car and he cannot move on to the after world unless he gets revenge and his family learns the truth about his death. He forbids Priya from seeing Raj and decides to send her back to London. Priya's father is one of the men who killed Raj's father. While visiting Raj's home, Priya's father sees a photo of Devesh and Raj and realizes who Raj is. The suspicion falls on Raj and he becomes the prime suspect. The car has a life of its' own and soon becomes a killing machine, taking revenge on the men who killed Devesh. He buys the car and transforms it into "Tarzan", a futuristic looking car that he builds in memory of his father. One day while passing by Raj sees his father's old car in a scrap yard. He meets Priya (Ayesha Takia) who has just returned from London and together they form a relationship. Raj is a simple looking, geeky guy who is made fun of because of the way he looks. A few years pass by and Raj has grown up and enters college. Devesh drowns to death leaving behind his mother and his young son. The men decide to place him in his car and dump the car in the nearby lake. After Devesh confronts the men, they fight and Devesh is knocked out and left unconscious. In an attempt to get justice, Devesh reports the incident to the police and later finds out the hard way that the police officer was part of the deception. After many hours designing, he shows his design to a car company owned by four men (Pankaj Dheer, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Shakti Kapoor and Mukesh Tiwari), little did he know that they would turn around and patent the design and take credit for it. He owned an old car, which was passed down to him from his father and he hoped to pass it on to his son, Raj. The ending always makes me cry Song.Devesh (Ajay Devgan) was Raj's father who was a futuristic car designer. It contains one of the greatest car chase scenes of all time, ending in a gory mutilation it’s horrific, but furthers the story. Augustine and Latisha are played very well. Pixar took and Indie film and turned it into a cheap commercial for plastic toys! Those corporate Knick-knacks. The car goes very fast, meaning Lightning McQueen ripped off this film, and that absolutely disgusts me. I mean, Spider-Man 2, Joker and Pulp Fiction were alright, but they can’t top this masterpiece. Perfect acting, best film in the Raimi verse. Though unfortunately the rest of the movies such as pulp fiction, Spiderman 2 and joker were not as well received as this, perhaps they lack in iconic moments such as when Latisha cheats on Augustine with the her father that has bren reincarnated into a car. The first installment of the Raimi verse was a great introduction and really gave us an idea of what the rest of the films would be like.
